Significance of Christmas – Dan Rabadi

The significance of Christmas is known to all over the world and though it is true that Christmas is celebrated as the day of the birth of Jesus Christ into this world yet it also symbolizes a very deeply significant truth of the spiritual life. Jesus Christ is the very representation of divinity and he was born at a time when ignorance, superstition, greed, hatred and hypocrisy prevailed upon the land as well as purity was forgotten and morality was neglected.  In the midst of these surroundings, Christ was born and he worked a transformation in the lives of people and he gave a new and a spiritual turn to the lives of man.

There came a difference upon the land and people started upon a new way of life and thus a new era dawned for the world. In that period the seeker has no thought of god or higher spiritual life and he lives a life of lust, anger, greed, deluded attachment, pride and jealousy and if the seeker must enter into a new life of spiritual aspiration, purity as well as devotion then the Christ spirit must take its birth within his heart. That is the real Christmas when the divine element starts to express itself in the heart of the man and from then onward, light begins to shine where blackness was before. A very small but very beautiful, point of deep significance is attached to Christmas and it is the time and the manner of the birth of the lord upon the holy Christmas day.

Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a Felling. |Dan Rabadi

Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate the love of God and family and to create memories that will last forever. Jesus is God’s perfect, indescribable gift. The amazing thing is that not only are we able to receive this gift, but we are able to share it with others on Christmas and every other day of the year.

New Year Traditions – Dan Rabadi

1388080071000-AP-New-Year-RDP

Many New Year customs that we take for granted actually date from ancient times. This year, ring out the old and ring in the new with a New Year tradition—or two!

Give a Gift –

New Year’s Day was once the time to swap presents.

  • Gifts of gilded nuts or coins marked the start of the new year in Rome.
  • Eggs, the symbol of fertility, were exchanged by the Persians.
  • Early Egyptians traded earthenware flasks.
  • In Scotland, coal, shortbread and silverware are exchanged for good luck.

Eat Lucky Food

Many New Year’s traditions surround food. Here are a few:

  • In the southern US, black-eyed peas and pork foretell good fortune. See our recipe for Good Luck Hoppin’ John.
  • Eating any ring-shaped treat (such as a donut) symbolize “coming full circle” and leads to good fortune. In Dutch homes, fritters called olie bollen are served.
  • The Irish enjoy pastries called bannocks.
  • The tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight comes from Spain.
  • In India and Pakistan, rice promises prosperity.

Make Some Noise

  • In ancient Thailand, guns were fired to frighten off demons.
  • In China, firecrackers routed the forces of darkness.
  • In the early American colonies, the sounds of pistol shots rang through the air.
  • Today, Italians let their church bells peal, the Swiss beat drums, and the North Americans sound sirens and party horns to bid the old year farewell.

Put Your Best Foot Forward

In Scotland, the custom of first-footing is an important part of the celebration of Hogmanay, or New Year’s Eve Day.

Fashion – Dan Rabadi

FASHION WORLD

Fashion is a popular style as well as practice especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, furniture, etc and it is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. The pace of change accelerated considerably in this century and women and men’s fashion especially in the dressing and adorning of the hair has become equally complex. The fashion industry consists of four levels which includes: the production of raw materials, principally fibres as well as textiles but also leather and fur, the production of fashion goods by designers, manufacturers, contractors as well as others, retail sales and various forms of advertising and promotion.

Fashion public relations involves keeping in touch with a company’s audiences and creating strong relationships with them reaching out to media as well as initiating messages that project positive images of the company. Social media also plays an important role in modern day fashion public relations which enables practitioners to reach a wide range of consumers through various platforms. Anthropology is the study of culture and human society’s studies fashion by asking why some styles are deemed socially appropriate and a certain way is chosen and that becomes the fashion as defined by a certain people as a whole, so if a detailed style has a representation in an already occurring set of beliefs that style will become fashion. Since fakes are distinguishable by their poorer quality, there is still a demand for luxury goods and as only a trademark and a logo can be copyrighted.

History of Christmas Day

piggybank_1875696c

Christmas is an annual festival which marks the birth of Jesus Christ observed most commonly on December 25 as a religious as well as a cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. Many popular customs which are associated with Christmas are developed independently of the commemoration of Jesus birth with certain elements having origins in festivals which were celebrated around the winter solstice by pagan populations who were later converted to Christianity. Christmas Day is celebrated as one of the major festival and public holiday in countries around the world which includes many whose populations are mostly non-Christian and among countries with a strong Christian tradition, a variety of Christmas celebrations have developed which incorporate regional and local cultures.

The traditional colors of Christmas decorations are red, green and gold where red symbolizes the blood of Jesus which was shed in his crucifixion while green symbolizes eternal life as well as the evergreen tree which does not lose its leaves in the winter and gold is the first color associated with Christmas as one of the three gifts of the Magi symbolizing royalty. Some traditional decorating items include bells, candles, candy canes, stockings, wreaths, angels, etc and both the displaying of wreaths as well as candles in each window are a more traditional Christmas display. The songs known specifically as carols were originally communal folk songs sung during the celebrations like harvest tide as well as Christmas and it was only later that carols began to be sung in church.

Acne Effects on Body and Face – Dan Rabadi

Acne is a disease that affects the skin’s oil glands. The small holes in your skin or pores connect to oil glands under your skin.

These glands make an oily substance called sebum. The pores connect to the glands by a canal called a follicle. Inside the follicles, oil carries dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. A thin hair also grows through the follicle and out to the skin. When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Acne is not a serious health threat, but it can cause scars.

Typical acne is prevalent in areas with the densest sebaceous follicles, making the skin prone to excessive sebum production. These areas include the face, particularly in the “T” zone, chest, upper part of the back, and sometimes in the shoulders and neck.

One of the Acne is Acne vulgaris, This is the most common type of acne. It affects practically all adolescents and adults at some point in their lives. And the other one is Acne conglobata– This is a severe but rare type of acne that occurs mostly in men.
